HISTORIC PORTLAND DESIGNS

Many of the homes in Portland are of classic 19th and 20th century design, styles of which include: Arts and Craft, Craftsman, Bungalows, Pacific Northwest,

Prairie, Colonial Revival, Tudor, English Cottage, and Ranch.

In Portland, the Craftsman and subset Bungalows are quite common. There are some Arts and Crafts homes around, with the majority in Ladd's Addition. Working on these types of homes takes knowledge of the style, familiarity with the techniques employed, and lots of practice! Portland truly is a pleasure to design and build as many of the people here are environmentally conscious as well as aware of the history of their home's design.
